Own CDs in Digifile

CDs packaged in digifile are printed and copied or pressed CDs in a 4-sided digifile. The CD stays in place thanks to a slot on the inside of the box into which the CD is inserted. If you want a plastic tray to hold the disk, you should look at the Digipak cardboard case. If you want to insert the CD from the side, the Digisleeve cardboard case is for you.

Digifile is printed on 300 gram Ensocoat paper in 4-color. Many people choose a digifile for their CD production to avoid using plastic and thus get a completely recyclable CD case. The discs are printed and UV varnished for extra good disc printing that is resistant to UV, moisture and scratches. If you’re interested in a different kind of disc-for example, with a silver surface for a metallic print, or a black underside-let us know, and we can see how we can best help you. Each digifile is also wrapped to protect the production. You can also opt for a booklet; this is printed in 4-color on 130 grams MultiArt Silk and can either be in a slot or sleeve. For smaller editions, your production is manufactured and copied in our factory in Falkenberg, and for editions of 500 or more, your production is manufactured and pressed at our supplier in Austria. We have a delivery time of approximately 5 working days when the production is made at our factory. If you need a shorter delivery time, contact us, we can usually solve it!

Course of events after ordering:

  • Once you have placed your order (don’t forget to add‘Design of cover‘ if you want help with this; we can of course also add this afterwards if you change your mind), you will receive an order confirmation email plus an attached ZIP file with information from us. In this email there is also a link where you can upload both music and print files. NOTE! We prefer either a DDP or 16-bit WAV files for music. For more info on print originals, please read the PDF file in the attached ZIP file.
  • You need to register your production with the NCB before we can send it to you, so it is best to do this as soon as possible. NCB is a collaboration between the Nordic countries’ copyright organizations, including Sweden’s STIM, and is responsible for rights in connection with the production of CDs; you can find more information on their website ncb.dk. You register your production online, and can then choose Skivfabriken as your production factory. A receipt will then go directly to us and you can then also make a share of royalty-free promo copies.
  • Once we have received the material from you, we will upload it to our templates and check that outcomes and the like are included, and that everything looks okay. If everything looks good or only required minor changes, we will send you a proof for you to review and approve – alternatively, we will ask you to change/correct something and send new files. If you want a physical proof sent to you, let us know, otherwise we only send digital proofs.
  • Once everything has been approved, we will start production, and within about five working days we will have sent your production to you. Depending on where you live, it takes about 1-2 working days before you can pick up your package; customers outside Sweden can expect a slightly longer delivery time, especially if the package has to go through customs. We will then send the invoice to your email and you will have 30 days to pay!

For orders under 500 CDs in digifile, the discs are copied on CD-Rs. Our CD-r discs have a Diamond Silver underside which makes them visually indistinguishable from pressed discs. The print is made in 4-color and varnished for better luster, and moisture and UV resistant disc print. CD in Digifile is delivered in 3-5 working days. If you choose larger editions of CDs with digifiles, they are pressed at our factory in Germany. The delivery time for pressed discs is slightly longer, about 10 working days, but the unit price is cheaper.

If you need help with design and layout, we can help you with this. Simply add the product Help with design and layout to your order and we will contact you with suggestions for your digifile and disc.
