CD in Digipak
Order your own CDs in Digipak cases from us. We wrap each case individually in plastic for a stylish and exclusive look.
The CD in a Digipak is our best-seller among CD cases. Many people choose it for its sleek look and because it’s more durable than the classic hard-plastic Jewel case, which cracks easily. Of course, you can’t use it to scrape ice off your car window, but you can’t have everything. If you’d rather have the CD slot on the inside of the case, we offer the Digifile option. If you want to insert the CD from the side, we call it a Digisleeve.
We print Digipaks on 300-gram Ensocoat paper in 4-color process. We mount the disc on a transparent tray inside the case, but we can also use a black tray if you prefer. We print and apply a UV varnish to the discs to create a finish that resists UV light, moisture, and scratches. If you’d like a custom disc with a silver surface for metallic printing or a black underside, we can arrange that. Contact us, and we’ll develop the solution that best suits your needs. We always wrap each case in plastic to protect your production.
You can add a booklet if you’d like. We’ll print it in 4-color on 130-gram MultiArt Silk, and we’ll place it either in a slit or in a sleeve.
For smaller print runs, we manufacture and print your order at our factory in Stockholm. For runs of 500 copies or more, we produce them in collaboration with our supplier in Austria. When we handle production ourselves in Stockholm, we typically deliver within five business days. Do you need a shorter delivery time? Let us know—we can usually work something out.
Here’s how it works when you order:
When you place your order (please add “Cover design” if you would like help with the layout – we can also arrange this afterwards) we will send you an order confirmation via email. In the email you will also receive a ZIP file with all the necessary information and a link where you can upload both music and print files. We prefer either a DDP or 16-bit WAV files for the music. More information about print originals can be found in the PDF file in the ZIP archive.
Before we can deliver your CD in a Digipak, you need to register the production with NCB. Please do so right away. NCB is a collaboration between the Nordic copyright organizations, including Sweden’s STIM, and is responsible for rights related to CD production. You can register online and select Skivfabriken as your production facility. That way, we’ll receive the confirmation immediately, and you can also order royalty-free promotional copies.
Once we receive your material, we’ll incorporate it into our templates and verify that the layout and other details are correct. If everything is ready or requires only minor adjustments, we’ll send you a proof for approval. If anything needs to be changed, we’ll ask you to adjust the files and resend them. If you’d like a physical proof, we’ll be happy to send one; otherwise, we’ll send a digital version.
Once you’ve approved the proof, we’ll start production. We’ll ship your finished CDs in Digipak cases within about five business days. Domestic deliveries usually take 1–2 days. For deliveries outside Sweden, please allow a little more time, especially if the package has to go through customs. We’ll send the invoice to your email, and you’ll have 30 days to pay.

If you order fewer than 500 CDs in Digipak cases, we’ll burn the discs onto high-quality CD-Rs. Our CD-Rs have a Diamond Silver backing, which makes them look just like pressed discs. We print in 4-color process and apply a gloss finish to the surface for extra shine and to make the print resistant to moisture and UV light.
For larger CD runs in Digipak format, we press the discs at our factory in Germany. The delivery time is approximately 10 business days, and the price includes the cost of the glass master. If you’d like even larger volumes, please contact us for the best price. We wrap each case in plastic to provide the best possible protection for your production.
Do you need help with design and layout? Add the “Help with Design and Layout ” product to your order. We’ll contact you and develop design proposals for both your Digipak and CD.
