CD in jewel case with black tray

Från 260

The classic and stylish CD jewel case remains a bestseller. This version features a black tray, meaning the holder that holds the disc is made of black plastic. The case comes standard with a 4-page booklet, but you can opt for more pages if you wish.

A jewel case is a classic CD case used in the music industry. It is a hard-plastic disc case with a paper insert on the back and a booklet on the front. The paper insert, which serves as the back of the jewel case, can be printed with any design. The booklet on the front can range from 4 to 20 pages, offering plenty of room for creativity. If you’d like more than 16 pages, a special fold, or a different paper choice, please contact us. We can usually accommodate most requests.

Both the inlay and the booklet are printed in 4-color on 130-gram MultiArt Silk paper. The discs are printed in 4-color and finished with a UV varnish for an exceptional print quality that is resistant to UV light, moisture, and scratches. If you’re interested in a different type of disc—for example, one with a silver surface for a metallic print, or a black underside—please contact us, and we’ll see how we can best assist you. After printing, all discs are inspected to ensure that each one is flawless when it reaches the recipient.

If you’d like a clear tray instead of a black one, check out the CD in a jewel case with a clear tray.

If you are looking for a more durable case, we recommend the Digipak. This case has room for the booklet and is also more impact resistant and environmentally friendly.

Course of events after ordering:

  • Once you have placed your order (don’t forget to add‘Design of cover‘ if you want help with this; we can of course also add this afterwards if you change your mind), you will receive an order confirmation email plus an attached ZIP file with information from us. In this email there is also a link where you can upload both music and print files. NOTE! We prefer either a DDP or 16-bit WAV files for music. For more info on print originals, please read the PDF file in the attached ZIP file.
  • You need to register your production with the NCB before we can send it to you, so it is best to do this as soon as possible. NCB is a collaboration between the Nordic countries’ copyright organizations, including Sweden’s STIM, and is responsible for rights in connection with the production of CDs; you can find more information on their website ncb.dk. You register your production online, and can then choose Skivfabriken as your production factory. A receipt will then go directly to us and you can then also make a share of royalty-free promo copies.
  • Once we have received the material from you, we will upload it to our templates and check that outcomes and the like are included, and that everything looks okay. If everything looks good or only required minor changes, we will send you a proof for you to review and approve – alternatively, we will ask you to change/correct something and send new files. If you want a physical proof sent to you, let us know, otherwise we only send digital proofs.
  • Once everything has been approved, we will start production, and within about five working days we will have sent your production to you. Depending on where you live, it takes about 1-2 working days before you can pick up your package; customers outside Sweden can expect a slightly longer delivery time, especially if the package has to go through customs. We will then send the invoice to your email and you will have 30 days to pay!

If you order fewer than 500 CD jewel cases, the discs will be burned onto CD-R discs at our factory in Stockholm. Our CD-Rs have a Diamond Silver underside, making them visually indistinguishable from pressed discs. The disc printing is done in 4-color and coated for better luster, moisture resistance, and UV resistance. These are delivered within 3–10 business days. If you choose a larger print run of CDs, they are pressed at our factory in Germany. In that case, the delivery time is approximately 10 business days. The price includes the cost of the glass master. If you’d like larger volumes, please contact us for the best price.

If you need help with design and layout, we can assist you. Simply add the “Help with Design and Layout ” product to your order, and we’ll contact you to develop proposals for your CD production.
