When was Skivfabriken founded?

Skivfabriken has been operating as a printing company and CD manufacturer since 1999, which means it has over 25 years of experience in CD production, printed materials, and customer service. The business is part of Dicentia AB, which has been manufacturing vinyl records for customers in Sweden since the 1960s.

CD production: printing, duplication, and distribution of CDs in small to medium-sized runs.

Covers and packaging: various types of cases, such as digipaks, jewel cases, and cardboard sleeves.

Personalized support: assistance with layout, proofreading, and source files from start to finish.

  • Copying (duplication): DVDs and CD-Rs are burned individually—ideal for smaller runs.
  • Pressing: a more industrialized method and often more cost-effective for large runs. Skivfabriken can help you choose the right method based on your quantity and needs. (Please note that pressing is sometimes carried out in collaboration with partners, depending on the run size.)

You can order professionally produced CDs in runs of approximately 50 or more, depending on the format and service.

Digipak: Traditional CD packaging with a cardboard sleeve and a plastic tray for the disc. Multiple pages that can be printed with graphics and text. Popular for albums and exclusive editions.

Digifile: More compact and often made entirely of paper or cardboard without plastic compartments; the disc can be placed in a compartment or glued in place. A smaller and more eco-friendly option, with the option of a printed design.

In short: Digipak is more classic and presentable, while Digifile is simpler and more minimalist.

Yes, ever since Skivfabriken was acquired by Dicentia, we’ve been offering vinyl records to our customers. We press singles and LPs in runs of 300 or more.

We manufacture smaller runs of CDs in Sweden. Larger runs of CDs and all vinyl productions are pressed by Sony in Austria.

Payment terms of 30 days are common.

Other payment options may be available depending on the type of customer (individual or business).
