Rippa CD

If you have a large music collection of CDs that you want to listen to on a computer or media center, we can help you convert your CDs into audio files. We take on large CD collections and deliver them on an external hard drive in the audio format of your choice.

Convert your CDs to audio files

We at Skivfabriken have equipment to read and convert large quantities of audio CDs, known as CD ripping. This is perfect if you want to convert your CD collection into audio files such as mp3, WAVE or flac and play them on a computer or media player.

We name your recorded audio files correctly

When we rip CDs, we use software that looks for information about your CD in three different databases. Each audio file is given the name of the song and placed in a folder with the title of the album. If your album is not included in a database, we manually name the album and song titles based on the information on the convoy. Since composers are often named differently in databases e.g. Johann Sebastian Bach or J.S Bach, we always go through the final result and manually correct so that your files are correctly named.

Start with a phone call

When you want to order CD ripping, we always start with a phone call. We’ll go through your collection and the audio formats you want it converted to. You will then receive a quote for the work, which you can approve at your leisure.

Sample price for CD ripping

A CD collection of 1000 discs costs €14,000 including VAT. In addition to scanning and converting your discs, this includes shipping and insurance* for your discs and an external hard drive on which your audio files are delivered.

CD to FLAC

A FLAC file is an Audio Codec file that reproduces the sound unaltered. FLAC can compress the file size to about half its original size, but will not cause any loss of sound quality. Today, flac files are the most popular lossless audio files and are supported by many media players.

At Skivfabriken you can rip audio CDs to flac files so you can store them on your computer and listen to your favorite songs without the real CD. Most media players can play flac files. You can also burn the flac files to create a new copy if the original disk is scratched.

CD to Wave

A WAV file is an audio file that contains raw and usually uncompressed audio data. The Wav file also contains information about the track, sample rate, bit depth and whether it is mono or stereo. The format is mainly used on Windows systems, but is also supported by other computer systems and media players.

We can rip your CD collection to wav files so you can have these stored on your hard drive and listen to your favorite albums without a CD.

CD to Mp3

MP3 is part of the MPEG-1 standard used for compressing digital audio and is perhaps the most common standard for music files on the Internet.

When ripping to MP3, you can choose whether you want the sound compressed so the files take up less space on your computer, or whether you want higher quality and better sound quality.
